HAMMERSMITH - LONDRA

Hammersmith è in zona 2 di Londra.
E' dal mio punto di vista una bella zona dove vivere, non troppo costosa, con ottimi trasporti e vicina alle zone più belle della città.
Ha tanti negozi e i principali supermercati quali Tesco, M&S e Sainsbury.

Trasporti:
3 Linee della Metropolitana ci passano (attive dalle 5 am alle 12pm):
District Line
Piccadilly Line
Hammersmith & City Line

C'è una grande stazione degli autobus che vanno verso il centro di Londra e le zone più esterne (Hammersmith Broadway).Molto importante la notte, in quanto gli autobus lavorano 24 ore al giorno (h24).

Ad esempio il 9 collega hammersmith al centro ed è attiva 24h.

Intrattenimenti:
Famosa inoltre per essere al centro di avvenimenti musicali, difatti nascevano li i Clash. (Hammersmith Palais).
Altri teatri importanti sono l'Hammersmith Apollo, e poco distante c'è lo Shepherd's Bush Empire.

Il Tamigi:
Ad Hammersmith passa anche il tamigi, ed è molto famosa la gara di canoe Cambridge VS Oxford che si celebra ad Aprile.
Molto bello è anche la sera (specie in estate) andare a prendere un drink in un pub di fronte al tamigi.

In ultimo se state passeggiando lungo il tamigi è d'obbligo una fermata al pub The Dove (la colomba):



Bello sia d'inverno dove all'interno c'è un bellissimo caminetto vicino al quale è bello bere una birra e magari stuzzicare qualcosa in compagnia.
In primavera e d'estate poi vi è il terrazzo sul tamigi ..che dire fantastico..
